Silage Bunkers and Piles

Less expensive but has a large surface area exposed. Usually consists of variant 2 or 3 walls and a polyethylene sheet/film for lining of the inside walls and the top to avoid outer layer silage damage. It is recommended that the film should be about 5mm thick and UV-resistant. The silage is spread in thin layers and thoroughly compacted and finally sand is used to hold the top plastic in place.
